Captain Blair's Study features a unique oak board room table designed especially for this room
by the renowned Scottish designer, Paul Hodgkiss. This magnificent table was created from an oak tree that
stood proudly in the Blair Policies for 250 years before a storm blew it down in 1997.
The barrel vaulted panelled ceiling and the imposing fireplace, originating from the mid 1880s, were part
of the transformation of the original 1668 kitchen to what is now affectionately known
as Captain Blair's Study. This elegant and comfortable room is now a superb location for corporate board
meetings, small conferences, informal dining or an evening ceilidh.
